How Many Extra Seasons of Ginny and Georgia Are Coming to Netflix?

Ginny & Georgia is still going strong — but how many more seasons could air on Netflix?

Scott Porter, who plays Paul, weighed in during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly at the Motion Picture & Television Fund NextGen Annual Summer Party, saying, “Our creator, Sarah [Lampert], is an infinite well of stories. I’m sure we could spin this thing for an awful long time.”

Porter, 45, noted that it was up to viewers to show their interest.

“And it’s up to Netflix on whether or not we continue on,” he continued. “But, let me just say to our viewers, thank you so much for tuning in over these first three seasons. We never expected the show to be a hit the way that it is — and it’s all because of you all. So thank you.”

With every new season, Ginny & Georgia’s fanbase has grown more and more. The show, which released season 3 earlier this month, has already been renewed for a fourth installment and there’s hope for even more episodes in the future.

Porter, for his part, has been having a blast getting to tell emotional and entertaining stories.

“I trust [the writers]. They are mapping out a show that’s unlike anything I’ve ever been on before. The twists, the turns, the cliffhangers and it works. So these scenes, my No. 1 word for this season and for me filling the shoes of Paul is ‘intimidating.’ I was intimidated with some of the stuff they presented me with and I wasn’t sure if I could keep up with our two leads who were so incredible,” the Friday Night Lights alum told Us earlier this month about Howey and Gentry. “When they’re asking Paul to reach these emotional depths, falling apart in front of our eyes and letting a little bit of his inner darkness out, I was intimidated.”

He added: “We have trust in each other from top to bottom. Our crew is incredible too. So when we go to work and we are asked to do things that make us blanch a little bit, we know that we have a safe environment to go to and that means the world.”

The actor expressed high hopes for Paul in season 4, which will see his character pick himself back up.

“There’s parts of Paul we still don’t understand and we haven’t seen. So his resilience and how he rebounds from this in season 4, I’d love to see some of that. I’d love to see a little bit of the old Paul,” Porter concluded. “We’ve heard how good he is at his job. He was elected mayor before Georgia ever walked into his life. I’d love to see that fight, that wit, that charm come back a little bit in season 4.”

Ginny & Georgia is currently streaming on Netflix.
