Phaedra Parks appeared on Sunday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live after the finale episode of season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
After she was accused of being behind the cheating allegations made against Charles Oakley, 61, to his wife, Angela Oakley, 44, Phaedra, 51, reacted to the claims, explained if she has issues with Angela, and commented on the falling out between Porsha Williams, 44, and Shamea Morton, 43, while also responding to Kelli Ferrell, 40, and Brit Eady‘s fight, offering an update on her relationships with the Married to Medicine and Traitors casts, and more.
“Make it make sense, Andy. Make it make sense,” Phaedra told host Andy Cohen, 57, on the June 29 episode of WWHL after he mentioned how she was accused of being responsible for the cheating rumors.
“I am only back for two weeks. This is my first gathering with the girls. Am I that much of a mastermind of anything? I mean, I’m definitely, I guess, the Godmother of Atlanta, but do I really have enough time to … How does it make sense? I’ve been gone for so many years and had plenty of success when I was gone,” she continued, prompting Andy to remind her that she was “benched from the show.”
“Yeah, but what I’m saying is, why would I come back and do something crazy? It makes no sense,” she insisted. “This is the thing: She said it was a man, so then there was speculation about someone that was obviously close to the cast. Then she said it was — she went through everybody in the cast, basically, except Porsha and Shamea. So it had been everybody.”
According to Phaedra, she didn’t even have an issue with Angela.
“I’ve only been around the girl for the Grenada trip. Why would I be mad with her?” she wondered. “Housewives, we want husbands, so why would I not want you to have your husband? Everybody can’t be single on the show.”
Moving on to Porsha and Shamea’s drama, Phaedra described their feud as an “unfortunate situation.”
“I’ve been in a friendship with both of them on and off for years, and I just hate that it’s come to this point,” she admitted. “It’s sad, but time will either reveal or heal.”
Then, reflecting on Kelli and Brit’s spat, Phaedra recalled thinking, “This is not good. This is not the proper decorum for this type of event.”
“But at the same time, it went from zero to 100. It went crazy so fast. I was just like, ‘Wow.’ And they didn’t even show a lot of the argument. It was more explosive than what you guys saw,” she shared.
As for Angela saying she looked old during her own appearance on WWHL, Phaedra defended her past comment that Angela was the “oldest looking young person” she’d ever seen.
“When I said Angela looked old, it wasn’t — she’s a beautiful woman, but she’s got a mature vibe about her. It gives, ‘I wear a slip,’” she explained. “I just thought she definitely wasn’t Porsha’s age. It is what it is.”
Also on the live broadcast, after revealing she’s still friends with Married to Medicine‘s Lateasha “Sweet Tea” Lunceford, 33, Gregory Lunceford, 57, Contessa Metcalfe, 49, Jackie Walters, 66, and Simone Whitmore, 58, and doesn’t “have any problems with any of those people,” Phaedra explained calling the cast “mean.”
“Well, to say something shady is shady, to be mean is an action. They are mean. I might be shady, but they are actually mean,” she noted.
Phaedra then shared where she stands with her Traitors co-stars.
“I see all of my Traitors family … Really, I talk to [Peter Weber], [Janelle Pierzina], [Trishelle Cannatella], more than anything. And even [Sandra Diaz-Twine]. We definitely get on the phone a lot to talk,” she confirmed.
Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Phaedra was asked if she regretted not letting Drew Sidora, 40, into her black glove event since Drew had let her know she’d be 15 minutes late.
“No. I don’t. Because timeliness is almost next to godliness, and I had given the girls a lot of leeway about the time, but Drew is consistently late,” she explained.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 16 reunion begins next Sunday, July 6, at 8/7c on Bravo.
