Todd Chrisley’s Son Requested to Sleep in His Room After Jail Launch

Todd Chrisley is reflecting on his family’s reunion after he and wife Julie Chrisley were released from prison.

During the family’s Saturday, June 28, interview on My View With Lara Trump, Todd, 56, said that son Grayson, 19, requested to sleep in his parents’ room the first night they returned to Tennessee. (Todd and Julie, 52, had been behind bars in federal facilities in Florida and Kentucky for nearly two years, respectively.)

“He came in and he said, ‘Can I sleep with you tonight?’” Todd recalled. “I said, ‘You can.’”

Todd and Julie were released from federal prison in May after receiving presidential pardons over their respective fraud convictions. The Chrisley Knows Best couple had maintained their innocence during a trial and subsequent appeal hearing in 2022.

Todd Chrisley, Julie Chrisley and their children have been soaking in family time after their long-awaited reunion. “Oh my gosh, it has been amazing. It doesn’t feel real,” daughter Savannah, 27, told People in an interview published on Friday, May 30. “We were going to bed last night. We’re like, ‘Is this real?’ And then, […]

In addition to Grayson, Todd and Julie are parents to Chase, 29, Savannah, 27, and Chloe, 12, who is the biological daughter of Todd’s eldest son, Kyle, 33. (Todd shares two older children from a previous marriage.)

“The first night [Grayson] said, ‘I’m scared to go to sleep because I feel like I’m just going to wake up in the morning and they’re not going to be here,’” Savannah added to Fox News host Lara Trump. “Grayson’s always said, ‘I have two moms,’ because we’re nine years apart. And so we’ve always been attached to the hip. He’s taught me more than any person in the world ever could the past two and a half years.”

Savannah, who had custody of Grayson and Chloe when her parents were incarcerated, added, “He thought I saved him when in reality he saved me … going through this together has been such a whirlwind.”

Grayson, for his part, is very grateful that his parents have returned home — and aren’t going anywhere again.

“[The best part] is really just being together,” the college student said on Saturday. “I mean, you take those times for granted when they are home, and then when you realize one day it could be there and the next day it’s not, you know, it means just a little bit more.”

After Todd and Julie returned home, Grayson had something extra to celebrate on Father’s Day.

“Man, where do I start? Today is the first time in about 3 years we have actually been able to celebrate today,” Grayson wrote via Instagram on June 15. “Happy Father’s Day to the man I look up to and the man [who] has always been there even in his toughest times. I really don’t know how you do it, how you always know the right thing to say and do, or how you always come out on top. I pray every day that one day I can be at least half the man you are. I love you always, Dad.”
